KMITL Innovation and Tech Start-up (KITS) is the institute’s innovation center for supporting start-up businesses. The center aims to support students, staff, local communities, and local businesses in educating about business models and start-ups. Over the past year, the center also offers start-up training, a marine animal production technology training for commercial trade for free. It was a project which provides algae and ghost crab cultivation training and technology to people in Chumphon province, and the other 3 upper southern provinces of Thailand, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ranong, and Surat Thani. We focus on the procedure to maintain, prevent damage, and extend existing aquatic ecosystems and their biodiversity, of both plants and animals.And KMITL with the provincial fisheries Ministry of Agriculture is established Agricultural Technology and Innovation Center (AIC) to promote joint research between educational institutions and local communities.
